2026 Joe Brown Memorial Scholarship Presentation

We were incredibly honored to present the Joe Brown Memorial Scholarship to two outstanding young leaders in our community!

This special scholarship preserves the legacy of Chief Joe Brown, a proud member of Beehive Lodge 779 and a true trailblazer who served as the first Black Police Chief of Apopka from 1995 to 2004. To make the day even more meaningful, we were immensely grateful to have Chief Brown’s daughter, Jasmin, join us to help present these awards.

This scholarship recognizes Black high school seniors who embody leadership, academic excellence, dedicated community service, and a fierce commitment to making a positive impact.
